About ClimateAcc

Story About Us

ClimateAcc was created from a simple, urgent reality: climate and biodiversity solutions succeed only when territories have the governance, capacity, and ownership to sustain them. Across Peru’s Amazon and Andes, communities steward ecosystems that provide global value — yet too often they face fragmented support, short funding cycles, and limited access to finance that matches territorial priorities.

Why we exist

We support communities and local actors to strengthen territorial management and governance, protect biodiversity, and safeguard ancestral knowledge that has long sustained resilient landscapes. We believe climate action must be grounded in place — in ecosystems, culture, and livelihoods — and designed to last beyond pilots.

What makes ClimateAcc different

Territory‑rooted design: we start from ecosystems, local governance, livelihoods, and climate risk
Governance-first structuring: clear roles, safeguards, accountability, and benefit‑sharing mechanisms
Finance-ready pathways: projects designed for donors and climate/biodiversity funds with measurable outcomes
Replicable platforms: systems that can scale from one territory to many

Tourism as a catalyst for regeneration

When designed with integrity, tourism can be a powerful driver of good practices: it can mobilize conservation finance, create dignified local livelihoods, reinforce cultural heritage, and incentivize ecosystem stewardship. ClimateAcc structures regenerative tourism systems that are low-impact, community-led, and aligned with biodiversity protection and long‑term resilience.

Where we work

We start in Peru’s Amazon and Andes, designing finance‑ready territorial platforms that can be adapted to other biodiversity‑rich regions.

Work with us
