Huacaria is located in the buffer zone of Manu National Park

— a globally renowned haven of terrestrial biodiversity where the Tropical Andes meet the Amazon Basin.

Context

Nature‑based solutions scale only when territories have what funding often overlooks: execution capacity, governance, and measurable performance. In the Manu buffer zone, where biodiversity value is globally significant, Huacaria addresses a common gap — moving from short‑term interventions to a territory‑owned platform that can mobilize sustainable financing while protecting ecosystems and strengthening local leadership.

Model

Huacaria is designed as an integrated system that connects conservation outcomes with a transparent local economy:

• Governance‑first execution: clear decision rights, accountability, and benefit‑sharing rules

• Regenerative tourism as conservation finance: curated experiences that generate revenue aligned with biodiversity protection

• Safeguards & community fund: transparent rules to reinvest a share of revenue in conservation priorities

• Time‑series ESG/MRV: baseline + year‑to‑year comparability to support credible reporting

Readiness (36‑month phased structure)

• Phase I (Months 1–12) — Foundation & de‑risking: governance, enabling infrastructure, capacity building, ESG baseline

• Phase II (Months 13–24) — Operational consolidation: controlled market activation, monitoring, revenue pilots, positioning

• Phase III (Months 25–36) — Stabilization & replication readiness: revenue stabilization, comparative ESG reporting, reinvestment, scale design
